Auto Body Tools
HTP Stud Setter
Pull dents with professional results...
and a whole lot more! This completely portable unit lets you
work anywhere. Tests in bodyshops show that the Stud Setter can
reduce labor cost by 40% to 80%.
Attach the tips for stud welding, insert studs, pull the trigger and
electrically weld the stud to the dented panel. Attach the Slide Hammer
to the stud and pull the dent. Or attach a row of studs and use a clamp
and "Come Along" for big dents. Each stud provides about
500 pounds of pull strength, but can be easily ground off without heat
distortion. The Stud Setter makes quick work of hail dents and door
dings.
Weld Studs to cold-rolled, high strength, galvanized and stainless
steels- all without making holes or removing inner panels.
Another use for your Stud Setter is the installation of trim riverts.
Many late model cars require these fasteners. Simply attach the trim
rivet tip, place a trim rivet in the magnetic tip, hold the gun tip
to your scribed line, pull the trigger, and "ZAP", you're
done.
On the vechicle, you can shrink stretched metal with clean instant
electric heat exactly where you want it, hammer and cool with a wet
rag - continue until done. Get rid of " oil can" areas and
reduce high spots. It's great for hard to reach places, overhead or
at an angle, on 26 gauge through 16 gauge.
Everything you need comes with the Stud Setter... and is all packaged
in a convenient sturdy steel service tray.
A great buy even if it did one job well...an increadible value to you
because it does three jobs extremely well. Complete step by step instructions
enclosed.

HTP Spot Mill
HTP Spot Mill- Imagine the best
spot weld removal tool you can. It would have to drill out spot
welds quickly and be able to remove spot welds without drilling
through both panels. It would have to be easy to start, without
a center punch and not walk around the panel. It would have to
have a long lasting drill bit. Well you've just imagined the
HTP Spot Mill. This unique tool has a hardened cobalt steel bullet
point drill bit. It's actually more like a bit found in a Bridgeport
milling machine. The depth of cut is set by turning the adjusting
ring, so you can set the tool to only cut through the upper panel.
The high torque, low RPM drill motor cuts out spot welds quickly,
without overheating the drill bit which results in long drill
life. Best of all, with the HTP Spot Mill, you can remove spot
weld without having to access both sides of the panel. You know
what a problem spot weld removal is. The HTP Spot Mill solves
that problem quickly, easily and efficiently. The HTP Spot Mill
- the spot weld removal tool you've been waiting for.
#90150 - HTP Spot Mill - includes
rugged molded case, 4 replacement cutting bits, regulator
and oiler.

HTP Spot Weld
Drill Bits

(HTP Spot Weld
Drill Bits)
HTP Spot Weld Drill Bits - are made of top quality, West German tool steel. This high-speed steel is mixed with a special cobalt alloy (EMO5-CO5), resulting in drills that can be expected to last twice as long as standard high-speed steel bits. Tests in our 90150 HTP Spot Mill (see above) have resulted in over 100 spot welds removed. These advanced HTP drills also work great in any other spot weld cutter.
Measuring 1 1/4" long x 5/16" diameter, they can be used in any drill which runs between 700 to 1800 rpm. Of course, as with any cutting tool, use of a cutting oil will greatly increase the life of the tool. Once you use an HTP Spot Weld Drill, you'll never go back to hole-saw-type cutters again.
A) 90151 -10 - This is the HSSE bit which contains the special cobalt alloy - lasts twice as long as HSS bits. This bit features a 10mm diameter cutting face.
B) 90151 – Same as above, but with an 8mm diameter cutting surface.
C) 90151-TIN - You know these bits are different the minute you look at them. We took our HSSE cobalt alloy bit and coated it with space-age Titanium, which is what gives the bit its gold color. The durable, titanium coating on these bits makes them last three times longer than our 90151 HSSE cobalt bit.
D) 90151-TICN - This is the top of the line bit - Titanium Coated and Carbon Nitrited. This exceptional coating is extremely hard while offering a very low coefficient of friction, so it runs cool. The bit’s purple color comes from the carbon nitriting process, which makes this bit last four to five times longer than the standard HSS bit.
E) 90151-3 – This is truly the top of the line. If you are working on late model, uni-body vehicles (Daimler/Chrysler, Porsche, Audi, Volvo, BMW, just to name a few) using very high strength, extremely hard Usibor or BTH steel, then you need this cutter or a plasma cutter to cut through these exceedingly tough, ultra-hard materials. This spot weld drill bit features a special, three-fluted design and combines all of the benefits of TiN, TiAN, and TiCN coatings. Watch it cut through these unusually hard steels while other drill bits just dull. Not recommended for use in a drill, but are designed specifically for specialized spot weld cutting tools.
